  • Alpine luxury: For foodies and spa fanatics who fancy a jaunt in Austria’s beautiful Zillertal Arena, the luxe Das Alpenwelt Resort in the snow-sure village of Königsleiten is a real game changer. And the setting couldn’t be more spot-on either; directly at the valley station of the gondola lift, between the Pinzgau hills and the High Tauern mountain range.

  • Spectacular spa: Designed to impress the savviest of spa-goers, the Alpenwelt Felsenbad & Spa has two heated pools (including a glass infinity sky pool) as well as a sauna, herbal and salt steam bath, arctic mist and ice fountain, salt lounge, and pinewood relaxation room with real hay beds. Using high-end products by Alpienne, Ligne St. Barth, and Maria Galland, signature treatments include massages, nourishing body wraps and scrubs.

  • Stellar dining: For culinary thrills, the trendy restaurant offers different dining areas for buffet-style and a la carte cuisine (mostly Austrian, Italian, and modern crossover gourmet). There’s also a couple of chilled-out bars, most fabulous of which is the rooftop Moët Lounge with white sky beds and lounge chairs draped with furs and blankets.

How to get there

Das Alpenwelt Resort is around 92 kilometres or a 90-minute drive from Innsbruck Airport. We recommend hiring a car to make the most of your winter wonderland location. Limited parking is available in front of the hotel at no additional cost, or in the underground car park for an additional fee (advance booking required).
